To me, it's not the best, and consequently, not love-worthy. What you seem to see as a bad thing, I see as progress.
#Fabfilter twin 40 shebib upgrade
I guess there are still people using PT Mix or G5 Macs or whatever, but as technology progresses, it's natural to upgrade hardware as the cost/performance ratio improves. UAD-2 released 6 years ago in 2008 and is still going strong. I wouldn't normally choose to use a Waves 1176 while I have the UAD versions. On the other hand, I have used an Ampex ATR102, and UAD simply nails it. and those Waves plugins just blow me away for very specific reasons: I love their sound.įull disclosure: I've never used an actual RS56, nor an Ampex 351, but I do love those Waves plugins. If UAD put out an Ampex 351/2, then I would love to put them up against each other. However, not all Waves plugins have corresponding UAD competition. Meaning, when Waves has a plugin that is directly comparable to a UAD unit, I've always been blown away by the quality of UAD. I have to agree that when it comes to 1 to 1 comparison, UAD is the very best. Having used the actual hardware for decades that these plugins are attempting to model, I find UAD the most convincing, by far. Check it out.it leaves Waves NR stuff in the dust.Īnyway, about "no love for Waves". It's also on sale right now, with RX4 about to pop. It honestly couldn't hold a candle to RX. I used to own the Waves NR stuff, but I sold it off.
#Fabfilter twin 40 shebib software
As someone who works in Post, I use noise reduction software daily. That's the one bundle I'd actually like to buy, but just can't justify spending so much money for it.Īll in all, I just enjoy the sound of these smaller companies, and it's great that they cost less too.Take a look at Izotope RX. it's just so pricey! I almost never see it on sale. The one bundle they have that doesn't really have much competition (if any) is their noise reduction bundle, which can be a life saver for those who need it to clean up audio when you don't have an option to re-record. in most cases, I highly prefer the sound I get from the competition in almost every area. Waves Kramer Tape does magic on acoustic snares that I haven't been able to reproduce otherwise. But if not, $745 is still a great price to get that whole bundle which includes the ones you were mentioning. I don't know if it will work with Audiodeluxe's already discounted price, but you can try entering it in the coupon box and see. Plus, on Waves Facebook page, they have a link to a 20% off coupon code, that says it can be used at dealers as well. At, add it to your cart and it's $745.99.

#Fabfilter twin 40 shebib plus
It has the whole Restoration (noise reduction) bundle included, plus the Transformation bundle (which includes Soundshifter), plus a zillion other great plugs including some new ones like Vitamin and WLM Loudness Meter.Īnd it's on sale this month. If you want the noise reduction bundle, and Soundshifter, then your best bet by far is to go ahead and just buy the Diamond bundle. Patiently waiting for a soundshifter & x-noise sale.CPhoenix,

I grabbed Kramer during a holiday sale at a great price. That, along w/ Kramer and X-noise are the Waves plugs I've used that get me excited and i wish I could afford. turning a woman's higher pitches "princess-esque" voice into the voice you'd expect from an African queen.

I've used it to create a completely different voice when necessary.
